something unusual that happened that day

Hi everyone! This blog entry will be my third official post on my English Blog! And I hope you will all enjoy my post! It is about something unusual thing that happened during school a few days ago. It was like this...

It was 12th January which was a big day for my CCA which is Boys' Brigade. During the day, we would be celebrating BB day which is the day when all the BB boys commemorate the founding of the Boy's Brigade in Singapore.

It started on 7th January when we had our first rehearsal for BB day. Upon hearing this news, the secondary 2 batch including me were very excited about it as this was our first time participating in this major event. Every week, we would be practicing very hard for the rehearsal to strengthen out drill skills. A primer came and helped us to perfect our drill movements so that we could look and act smart during the actual day without making any mistakes that will embarrass us. After a few good stamps from our feet, we would then finally allowed to go but we were already too tired to move due to our continuous stamping, making our feet hurt.

This continued for 3 days until we were prepared for the actual day. After what seemed like a long time, the day had come. I quickly double checked that I had polish my boots and uniform so I wouldn't embarrass myself at the parade square. I quickly get changed and went to school early so that all of us can assemble in the parade square on time before the other students assemble. My hearts were beating at an exceptionally fast rate as this is my first time. Once again, our parade commander reminded us to be at our best behaviour because the whole school will be looking at us all the time and we must not give the secondary 1 a bad impression of Boy's Brigade. An unexpected news came by after someone shouted “Assembly is going to be held in the school hall! ". All of us shocked out of our wits especially the parade commander. Immediately, the parade commander ordered us to dash down to the hall. Another shocking news came by when we realised that the hall was completely empty. The parade commander was so mad at the person who tricked us and he ordered us back to the parade square. We quickly assembled and saw classes started coming to the parade square. Luckily, we did not panicked and quickly assemble in the parade square.

Soon, all our us started to sing the national anthem and took the pledge smartly. After that, BB Day was officially commenced as the BB chairman read out the BB message. We tried our best not to shake to much or move. Finally, the principal came up and started to praise the Boy's Brigade with all the awards and great achievements. It was followed by a warm applause by the school. Upon hearing this, all of us had a strong pride of our CCA. We left the parade square and headed straight to the BB room where a debrief was held by our BB teacher.
